At age 62 I was the oldest member of the class of 2006 at SIU School of Law. I have no idea how many times I heard the phrase "think like a lawyer." And I still have no idea what "think like a Lawyer" means. Before the first (and only) semester ended, I thought maybe Professor Lee, in Criminal Law, wanted a student to take a position and defend that position. Anyway, I had put in a minimum of 80 hours a week for every week in the semester and the 1.835 GPA was heart-breaking, and I withdrew, realizing that I would never be a competent attorney.
